In Mumbai, at the General Consulate of Italy, Luca Bottazzi, Brembo India Country General Manager, received the title of Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy, a prestigious honour bestowed by the President of the Italian Republic on individuals who have distinguished themselves in strengthening relations between Italy and other countries.

The ceremony took place in the presence of the General Consul of Italy, Walter Ferrara, along with representatives from Italian institutional and cultural organizations. An official event that celebrates Luca Bottazzi’s long-lasting work in India since 2013.

 

This recognition highlights the commitment to strengthening the bond between Italy and India and further confirms the growth path Brembo has pursued over the years.

 

Present in India since 2008, the company operates in the development, production and commercialization of braking systems and components for small- and medium-engine size motorcycles under the Bybre brand.

 

Today, Brembo India has two production facilities and 1,250 employees. The first plant was inaugurated in Pune in 2008 and expanded to cover an area of 15,000 square meters, while the Chennai plant has been active since 2018 and is entirely dedicated to the production of complete ABS braking systems.


Over the years, Brembo’s presence in India has helped strengthen industrial, cultural and human relationships built on collaboration and the exchange of expertise. A journey that reflects the company’s commitment to fostering strong and long-lasting connections between people, cultures and territories, beyond geographical boundaries.
