Brembo continues its sustainability path with significant achievements in 2024. Electricity from renewable sources now accounts for 83% of the company’s needs, compared to 75% in 2023, with operations in Italy, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil fully powered by renewable energy. CO₂ emissions per cast tonne have been reduced by 13.74%¹ compared to the previous year.
In Brembo’s first integrated Annual Report, also improvements in waste management emerge, with 93% of waste recycled, up from 88% in 2023. Brembo continues to be committed to a responsible use of natural resources and circular processes, such as water recovery and the reuse of processing residues and scrap ferrous materials.
Thanks to its environmental commitment, in 2024 Brembo was recognized by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) as a leading company for its actions on climate change and water resource management, achieving an A- score in both categories.
In Brembo, sustainability is also expressed through social projects supporting child protection, education, art and culture, sports, and scientific research, with a focus on the communities where the Group operates worldwide.
Brembo relies on a global team of over 15,000 people across 18 countries, who actively contribute to the Group’s sustainable growth. In 2024, Brembo received in Italy the gender equality certification from DNV, a leading provider of accredited management systems certification, which recognized its commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and diversity within the company.
