On display at EICMA 2026 (November 3-8), the Brembo Hyction™ brake disc represents a new interpretation of the relationship between road and competition. Already introduced on the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario and set to debut in the FIM Superbike World Championship from 2027, Brembo Hyction™ demonstrates how the same technology can evolve through the continuous dialogue between high-performance road applications and Motorsport.

From the road to the track, two different worlds but united by the same search for control, reliability and performance.

The Brembo Hyction™ disc represents a new frontier in high-performance braking. Derived from the CCM-R technology used in hypercars, the carbon-ceramic composite material guarantees high thermal stability, consistency of performance and precision of control even in the most severe conditions.

Weighing only 1,375 kg, Hyction™ allows a reduction of 450 grams per disc and a decrease in inertia of up to 40% compared to a steel disc for road superbikes. The structure with 132 ventilation holes and the new aluminum bell also improves heat dissipation, responsiveness and steering precision.

The road debut was on the Ducati Superleggera V4 Centenario, where Hyction™ brought the advantages of carbon-ceramic in terms of lightness, riding precision and braking consistency. The reduction in unsprung mass and inertia improved agility and control, even in the most demanding conditions.

From 2027, Hyction™ will also make its debut in WorldSBK, introducing carbon-ceramic to the championship for the first time. The same characteristics that define its value on the road, such as thermal stability, precision and consistency of performance, also become a decisive advantage in the race.

It is precisely in the dialogue between road and competition that Hyction™ continues to evolve. The experience gained on the most exclusive road bikes and the comparison with the needs of WorldSBK, together contribute to the development of increasingly advanced technology in terms of performance, reliability and control.

With Hyction™, Brembo makes the link between road and track even more concrete. Not two separate paths, but a single development cycle in which knowledge, data and experience feed each other. The road offers the first application bench for innovative technology; competition takes it to the limit, accelerates its maturation and opens up new possibilities for development.
