Andrea Pirondini is an experienced industrial executive with over 30 years of leadership excellence track record across the energy, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
Since 2020, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of Prysmian North America, where he has led a phase of significant strategic growth, including the successful integration of General Cable, the combination with Encore Wire in 2024 (4.2 Bn usd), and the acquisition of Channell in 2025 (1.3 Bn usd). Under his leadership, Prysmian has become one of the largest and most innovative cable solution providers in the region. He joined the Prysmian Group in 2014 as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing global operations and driving industrial transformation across the company's extensive footprint. His tenure was marked by strong focus on operational excellence, digitalization, and sustainable growth.
Prior to Prysmian, Mr. Pirondini held numerous executive roles at the Pirelli Group, including Chief Commercial Officer of Pirelli Tyre S.p.A. He played a central role in expanding the company's international presence, managing complex acquisitions, joint ventures, and industrial scale ups in markets such as Russia, Turkey, and Egypt. His responsibilities spanned commercial strategy, manufacturing operations, supply chain, and business unit leadership. He began his career in 1989 in the UK with Pirelli Tyres and subsequently held key roles in administration, supply chain, and digital strategy at the Group's Milan headquarters. Mr. Pirondini holds a degree with honors in Business Administration from Università Commerciale L. Bocconi in Milan.
