Since 2022, Alessandra Cozzani has been an Executive Director of Esselunga S.p.A., one of the leading Italian grocery retailers, and since 2023 an Independent Non-Executive Director of Burberry Plc, a UK luxury goods player.
In 2000, she joined the Prada Group, a global leader in the luxury goods sector and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. She remained in the Group for 22 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility in Finance, becoming Group CFO in 2016. During these years she also served as Group Financial Report Director, and was involved in many M&A projects, bond issuances, financing, and corporate reorganizations. In 2011, she was a member of the Steering Committee for the Company's listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and from that date also served as Group Investor Relations Director. In 2013, she joined the Board of Prada S.p.A. (the listed holding company) as an Executive Director, where she remained until 2022.
Alessandra Cozzani graduated “cum laude” in Business Administration from the University of Genoa in 1988 and began her professional career as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, where she worked until 1995. From 1995 to 2000, she served as Finance Director at the international transport company Castelletti S.p.A., then owned by Swiss Railways and later taken over by the Shenker Group.
